Open Question: I have been offered an internship without interview is this normal?

I have been offered a design internship for one month based on my CV and work samples. Is this normal and should I worried about it? I guess if they're not paying me they don't need to be so picky and my work / CV met the criteria. I have spoken to them on the phone once or twice and they have come across okay but it seems unusual.

It is quite usual to have an internship with out an in-person interview, especially if you live too far away from the place of work for it to be practical. However, if you live nearby, ask if you can drop in to meet in person and see the place of work before you accept. This should be fine if it is an OK place to work, but beware as you may turn out to be a slave in a nightmare working environment
